I received my PhD degree in Computer Science from The University of Hong Kong in 1997. After graduation, I had been a visiting assistant professor/guest lecturer for three years in the University of Hong Kong, and a lecturer in Polytechnic University for three years.

Before joining Izmir University, I was an Assistant Professor in Bilkent University.  

The subjects I taught cover a wide range of subjects, including Algorithms, Computer Architecture and Computer Literacy, Distributed Computing, Human Computer Interaction, Networking, Operating System, and Software Engineering.

At present, I am an Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering Department.

I have published a few papers in these years. My principle research areas cover some fundamental issues in the area of distributed algorithms.

Here is a list of my publications, but at present it does not contain my two major results which are TR-2002-17.pdf and TR-2002-18.pdf. Having derived these major results, I am now trying to diversify my research to application such as mobile computing and internet computing.
