PRE-INTERMEDIATE
Description of the Course and Course Objectives
This course is supplementary to the writing material provided in the main course book and aimed at pre-intermediate learners of English. Its objective is to improve students' writing skills in accordance with their levels and needs. The course material focuses on everyday writing tasks that will be presented along with the necessary vocabulary for daily use. Furthermore, particular useful skills such as planning, thinking about the reader and checking the work will be developed during the course.

Ders Tanımı ve Amaçları
Bu ders orta seviye öncesi İngilizce öğrencilerine yönelik olup ana ders kitabındaki yazma alıştırmalarına destek sağlayacak niteliktedir. Dersin amacı öğrencilerin ihtiyaç ve seviyeleri doğrultusunda İngilizce yazma becerilerini edinmelerini sağlamaktır. Dersin materyali, günlük hayatta karşılaşılan yazma biçimlerini ve gerekli kelime hazinesini aktaracak biçimde kullanılacaktır. Ayrıca öğrencilerin yazma sürecini planlama, okuyucu faktörünü düşünme ve yazılan metni gözden geçirme gibi belirli becerileri de ders sırasında geliştirilecektir.

INTERMEDIATE & UPPER INTERMEDIATE
Description of the Course and Course Objectives
This course is supplementary to the writing material provided in the main course book and aimed at intermediate and upper intermediate learners of English. Its objective is to improve the English writing skills of the students and provide them with extra writing practice according to their needs and levels. The material focuses on the everyday writing tasks that will be presented with necessary vocabulary for daily use. Also, particular useful skills such as planning, thinking about the reader and checking the work will be developed during the course. Furthermore, numerous activities that help students improve the organization of their writing, punctuation and spelling will be presented in the classroom.

Bu ders orta seviye ve sonrası İngilizce öğrencilerine yönelik olup ana ders kitabındaki yazma alıştırmalarına destek sağlayacak niteliktedir. Dersin amacı öğrencilerin ihtiyaç ve seviyeleri doğrultusunda İngilizce yazma becerilerini geliştirmelerini sağlamaktır. Dersin materyali, günlük hayatta karşılaşılan yazma biçimlerini ve gerekli kelime dağarcığını aktaracak biçimde kullanılacaktır. Öğrencilerin yazma sürecini planlama, okuyucu etkenini düşünme ve yazılan metni gözden geçirme gibi belirli becerileri de ders sırasında geliştirilecektir. Ayrıca metnin uygun şekilde düzenlenmesi ve noktalama ile imla kurallarının doğru kullanılmasına yönelik çeşitli alıştırmalar da ders içeriğinde yer almaktadır.

Description of the Course and Course Objectives
This course is supplementary to the writing material provided in the main course book and aimed at advanced learners of English. Its objective is to improve the English writing skills of the students in accordance with their levels and needs. The course material focuses on the everyday writing tasks that will be presented with necessary and enhanced vocabulary. Particular useful skills such as planning, thinking about the reader and checking the work will be developed and reinforced during the lessons. Also, there will be extra activities to consolidate the language input like organization of the text, punctuation, spelling, writing style and grammar.

Dersin amacı öğrencilerin ihtiyaç ve seviyeleri doğrultusunda İngilizce yazma becerilerini geliştirmelerini sağlamaktır. Dersin materyali, günlük hayatta karşılaşılan yazma biçimlerini ve gerekli kelime hazinesini aktaracak biçimde kullanılacaktır. Öğrencilerin yazma sürecini planlama, okuyucu faktörünü düşünme ve yazılan metni gözden geçirme gibi belirli becerileri de ders sırasında geliştirilip daha etkili bir biçimde kullanılacak hale getirilecektir. Ayrıca metnin uygun şekilde düzenlenmesi, noktalama ile imla kurallarının doğru kullanılması, metnin biçem ve dilbilgisi yapılarını tanımlayabilme gibi dili etkin biçimde kullanmaya yönelik çeşitli alıştırmalar da ders içeriğinde yer almaktadır.

Description of the Course and Course Objectives
This course is supplementary to the listening and speaking material provided in the main course book and aimed at pre-intermediate learners of English. Its objective is to improve the English listening and speaking skills of the students in accordance with their levels and needs. The course introduces students to everyday situations in which they are required to use their listening and speaking skills. It presents listening and speaking practice in a range of social, travel, professional and academic contexts with crucial vocabulary for everyday use. The exercises to be presented in the classroom will help students develop their listening skills such as listening for opinions, listening for details, and listening for the main idea. Also, lots of practical speaking strategies will provided to help students improve their ability of communication, pronunciation, and grammar usage.

Dersin amacı gerçek hayatta karşılaşılan örnek durumlar çerçevesinde öğrencilerin dinleme ve konuşma becerileri edinmelerini ve geliştirmelerini sağlamaktır. Ders materyali sosyal yaşam, seyahat, iş ve okul konularıyla ilgili olan ve ayrıca gerekli kelime bilgisi ve dilbilgisi yapılarını da gösteren metinler içermektedir. Sınıfta yapılacak alıştırmalar öğrencilerin fikirleri, ayrıntıları ve/veya ana fikri saptama amaçlı dinleme becerilerini geliştirmelerine yardımcı olacaktır. Ayrıca çeşitli konuşma biçimleri örneklendirilerek öğrencilerin iletişim becerileri, telaffuzları ve dilbilgisi kullanımları geliştirilecektir.

INTERMEDIATE & UPPER INTERMEDIATE
Description of the Course and Course Objectives
This course is supplementary to the listening and speaking material provided in the main course book and aimed at intermediate and upper intermediate learners of English. Its objective is to improve the English listening and speaking skills of the students in accordance with their levels and needs. It improves the practice of listening and speaking presented within a range of social, travel, professional and academic situations which contain necessary vocabulary for everyday use. The exercises to be presented in the classroom will help students develop their listening skills for opinions, details, and the main idea. Students will also be encouraged to employ several practical speaking strategies like describing a problem, leaving a message, linking ideas and giving advice so that they can improve their ability to communicate, fluency and pronunciation, and awareness of the difference between formal and informal speech.

Ders materyali sosyal yaşam, seyahat, iş ve okul konularıyla ilgili olan ve ayrıca gerekli kelime ve dilbilgisi yapılarını da gösteren metinler içermektedir. Sınıfta yapılacak alıştırmalar öğrencilerin görüşleri, ayrıntıları ve/veya anafikri saptama amaçlı dinleme becerilerini geliştirmelerine yardımcı olacaktır. Ayrıca öğrenciler bir sorunu dile getirme, mesaj bırakma, düşünceleri birbirleriyle bağlantılı biçimde ifade etme gibi konuşma becerilerini kullanmaya teşvik edilecektir. Böylece öğrencilerin iletişim yetenekleri, akıcı konuşmaları, telaffuzları, resmi ve gayri-resmi konuşma arasındaki farkları anlama nitelikleri gelişecektir.

This course is supplementary to the listening and speaking material provided in the main course book and aimed at advanced learners of English. Its objective is to improve the English listening and speaking skills of the students in accordance with their levels and needs; and to help students use their skills confidently and efficiently. Students are required to deal with more elaborated dialogs and contexts. The exercises to be presented in the classroom will help students develop their listening skills, such as listening for opinions, listening for details, and listening for the main idea. Also students will be encouraged to employ several practical speaking strategies like describing a problem, leaving a message, linking ideas and giving advice to help students improve their ability to communicate, fluency and pronunciation, and awareness of the difference between formal and informal speech.

The course material will provide the students with a range of social, travel, professional and academic texts which contain useful vocabulary and grammar.

Ders materyali içeriğinde sosyal yaşam, seyahat, iş ve okul konularıyla ilgili olan ve ayrıca gerekli kelime ve dilbilgisi yapılarını da gösteren metinler barındırmaktadır. Bu dersin önemli bir özelliği de öğrencilerin metnin bütününü sözlük kullanmadan okuyup anlamalarını sağlamaktır. Ders materyali sosyal yaşam, seyahat, iş ve akademik konularla ilgili olan ve gerekli kelime ve dilbilgisi yapılarını da gösteren metinler içermektedir.

Its objective is to help the students use and practice the English reading skills such as scanning, skimming, working out the meaning of unknown words from the context and ignoring parts of the text which are not useful to a related task, identifying the topic of the sentences, paragraphs and the text, recognizing the structure, style and aim of the text - in an efficient way. A particular feature of this course is that it encourages the students to read and understand a text without using a dictionary for the unknown words. The course material provides the students with a range of social, travel, professional and academic which contain useful vocabulary and grammar.

Dersin Tanımı ve Amaçları
Bu ders ileri seviye İngilizce öğrencilerine yönelik olup temel ders kitabındaki dinleme ve konuşma alıştırmalarına destek sağlayacak niteliktedir. Dersin amacı öğrencilere tarama, hızlı okuma, bilinmeyen sözcüklerin anlamlarını metinden çıkarma, metnin alıştırma amacına yönelik olmayan kısımlarını kullanmama, cümle, paragraf ve ana metnin konusunu tespit edebilme, metnin biçem ve yazılış amacını anlayabilme gibi İngilizce okuma becerileri kazandırmaktır. Bu dersin önemli bir özelliği de öğrencilerin metnin bütününü sözlük kullanmadan okuyup anlamalarını sağlamaktır. Ders materyali sosyal yaşam, seyahat, iş ve akademik konularla ilgili olan ve gerekli kelime ve dilbilgisi yapılarını da gösteren metinler içermektedir.
